Notice of the Rebels Sports Club Annual General Meeting
Date: Sunday, June 12, 2011
Time: 3:30 p.m. - meeting to begin once quorum is reached - barbeque to follow.
Location: 2931 Ilene Terrace, Victoria, BC
The Club is hosting a Barbeque & Bocce party along with the AGM - we'll provide burgers & hotdogs, salad and non-alcholic beverages (if you'd rather something else to barbeque or something stronger to drink, feel free to bring your own!!). Children and significant others are welcome.

Rebels 40th Anniversary Celebration!

We are celebrating 40 years of Rebels hockey!

Please join us Saturday, August 28, 2010.

Beginning with a
Mixed 7-a-side Field Hockey Festival

Followed by a
Rebels Old-timers Game

Ending with an
Evening Social

Beginning with a
Mixed 7-a-side Field Hockey Festival

Social / Recreational play for men and ladies in a mixed 7-a-side format with round robin play in two divisions. Halves will be 25 minutes and teams must have 3 male and 3 female players on the field at all times (goalie can be either male or female). We recognize that not all teams contacted will have affiliates of the opposite sex - if you don’t have enough men or ladies to make a team yourself, we will try to match up players to make a team for you. We are also working on a goalie pool for those teams that aren’t able to bring their own keeper.

All players welcome – Even if you aren’t a Rebel, we wouldn’t have made it this far without ya!
(All teams guaranteed at least 3 games)

Game times: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Venue: University of Victoria Field Hockey Turf (Gabriola Road across from the McKinnon Gym)
Cost: $100 per team. Cheques payable to the Rebels Sports Club.

Team Captains are responsible for verifying that players are currently registered with Field Hockey BC and may be asked for the membership number of their players.

Followed by a
Rebels Old-timers Game

For Rebels not up to the rigour of festival play but still wanting to hit the ball with old friends.

Game time: 4:30 p.m.
Venue: University of Victoria All Weather Turf (rubberized turf beside the Field Hockey Turf)
Cost: Hosted by the Rebels at no cost to players – spare sticks will be available but you’re on your own for other equipment.

Ending with an
Evening Social

Evening Social will be held at the (Castaways) Discovery Clubhouse, 714 Discovery Street.

All festival players, Rebels past & present and their guests are invited to socialize together immediately following the final game.
Snacks and no host bar available. Bring your photos and memories.
